Cockermouth Car Parks

PLEASE NOTE

Allerdale Borough Council have recently taken over responsibility from the Police for car parking, etc. The new wardens are being very narrow minded in interpreting parking regulations. If you park in a car park make sure you put a parking ticket on display in your windscreen, park between the marked lines as people have had fixed penalty notices for having a wheel on the line and make sure you return before the time is up, people have also been fined for being literally a minute or so over time. If you park in the disc zone make sure you display a disc in your windscreen, park within the lines and do not go over time or you will be fined. Free parking discs for on street parking are available at the museum and in many shops.

The disc zone does not apply on Sundays so you can park all day for FREE on roads within the marked bays.
